Photographer M.J. Sharp and I have embarked on an exploration of unpopular creatures and their habits. From the midnight ramblings of sea turtles on the North Carolina coast to the flutterings of bats in the forests of the Uwharries, we bear witness to the unusual. And we've had our rabies shots!
We'll continue to follow the road less traveled in our search for surprising subjects that reveal the secret history of the world we live in.
